Our Story

In 2020, when the world was shut down, we had a lot of new-found freetime. We used this time to hit the river and go fishing... A LOT. During this time spent on the Madison, Gallatin, Yellowstone and the rest of Montana's blue ribbon trout streams, we designed and perfected the Mag Grab.

Since then, we've sold thousands of units and gotten hundreds of 5 star reviews, and added more new and innovative products.

Meet The Team

As founder and president, Jared is responsible for a wide variety of tasks including product design, social media, manufacturing, sales, and more. Jared loves to spend his free time on Montana's rivers and high lakes swinging and stripping streamers for large trout. Throughout high school Jared spent his summers working at a fly shop in Central Oregon, which is where his passion for fly fishing really grew and took hold. This love for fly fishing shows in his work as he is always out to design the newest and most beautiful products to introduce to the fly fishing world.

Grace plays a slightly smaller roll in the Cling Fishing family. She is largely in charge of product shipping and packaging. Grace also loves to spend her free time on Montana's rivers and lakes chasing fish. She earned her passion for the outdoors through her studies in high school and college which got her a degree in fish and wildlife ecology. Grace hopes to use this degree to further bennefit the fisheries around Bozeman and the greater gallatin valley!

Jared May

As chief director of human resources, Jager's tasks include greeting new customers, repping Cling merchandise, and occasionally product durability testing. Jager loves to spend his free time chasing birds, chewing on sticks, and exploring new reaches of the wilderness. Throughout his youth Jager has earned a passion for the outdoors through hiking up mountains and swimming in the clearest of mountain lakes. Jager occasionally works as a deck hand on some fly fishing excursions and does an excellent job of testing water temperatures, picking out fly patterns, and watching out for obstacles. Jager is no doubt an important and valued part of the Cling team.
